Calling it the “Month of Mario”, Nintendo plans on releasing several of the plumbers old school titles for download. Preceding the August 19th release of New Super Mario Bros. 2, they will make one Mario game available per week at a discount via the Nintendo eShop.

Here is a list of the games and prices when they become available:

  • July 26-Aug. 1: Super Mario Bros. – $3.99
  • Aug. 2-Aug. 8: Super Mario Land – $2.99
  • Aug. 9-Aug. 15: Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins – $2.99
  • Aug. 16-Aug. 22: Mario’s Picross – $2.99

After taking several weeks to get back into what defined platform gaming at the time, fans will be well prepared to face off against King Koopa and his loyal horde once New Super Mario Bros. 2 comes out.
