Feb 3rd, 2013

In what looks to be a long term investment in its customers, Goozex has made public a complete overhaul to it’s pricing system. Effective February 7th, trades will be charged between one and three trade tokens based on the Goozex point value of the item. Trade token prices will drop to $0.99 each for people with under 50 trades and $0.50 for people with 50 or more trades.

Right now through February 7th, all trade tokens in your possession will be doubled in lieu of the price drop. Even better than that, all trade tokens are 50% off for the next day or so. Go to your Refill Tokens screen now to see the discounted trade token bundles. If you have managed to complete 50 or more trades, you will see them at $0.50 each right now. So, if you buy a 10-pack of tokens right now for $4.98, that will be doubled to 20 trade tokens automatically on February 7th.

Trade prices will change on February 7th to the following scenarios:

  • 0-800 point game/movie will cost 1 trade token ($0.99)
  • 900-1600 point game/movie will cost 2 trade tokens ($1.98)
  • 1600-2400 point game/movie will cost 3 trade tokens ($2.97)

This coincides nicely with the last announcement that Goozex has raised the point value cap to allow higher demand or rare items to surpass 1100 points. Goozex also mentions that all these changes will allow them to add new categories. I’ve inquired about these so called new categories and hope to hear back soon. Until then, add GameFans to your RSS feeds to get more info about Goozex as it rolls in.
